What We Do

We know how heartbreaking it is when a child grows up feeling unseen, unheard, or left out. Childhood should be filled with laughter, play, and confidence — not stress or worry.

That’s why KidsLand exists. Since 2021, we’ve hosted joyful back-to-school and community events that have served 100+ kids with over 300 backpacks, free meals, fun activities, and smiles to last a lifetime.

Backed by 40+ volunteers, 10+ community partners, and recognition on News 22, we’ve built a trusted reputation for designing events that center kids and celebrate their happiness.

Because at KidsLand, we believe: Every child deserves a safe, joyful space where they can laugh, belong, and believe they are enough.

Meet Latoya Vaz, CEO & Heart Behind KidsLand

💫 About the Founder

From a young age, Latoya Vaz was surrounded by laughter, family, and community. Growing up, she loved organizing games, volunteering, and finding ways to bring joy to the kids around her. That love for creating happiness never went away — it simply grew stronger.

KidsLand was born from that passion — and from a deep personal mission. After losing a beloved family member who left behind two young sons, Latoya felt called to turn her grief into giving. Her goal is to raise $40,000 to support them and help build a brighter, more secure future for their family.

But Latoya’s heart doesn’t stop there. Once that goal is met, she plans to continue expanding KidsLand’s impact — helping more children in the community through back-to-school events, enrichment programs, and joyful experiences that inspire confidence and connection.

For Latoya, KidsLand is more than a nonprofit — it’s a promise.
A promise that every child deserves to feel loved, supported, and celebrated… because when kids feel seen, they shine. 🌟
